Jackie works as a secretary for a law firm. She is secretly attracted to her colleague Michael, a charismatic but eccentric paralegal. Harbouring romantic feelings, she invites the lonely single for dinner at her apartment. During an intense evening, they share awkward secrets about their personal and professional lives, culminating in a surprise revelation that could shatter the intimacy that they both desperately have longed for.

该片的各种技术手法手段的运用可谓是独巨匠心，典型而不觉老套，这是因为各种手法手段在导演手中处理的恰倒好处，发挥的淋漓尽致。如汽车急驰而过画面和声音的升格技术，瞬间把人带入紧张的气愤，当然影片所要表达的意思也让人身临其境地理解了，这也是为什么在这么短的时间内可以让观众理解这部影片的关键所在，绝佳的艺术表现手法加上奇特的技术让整个影片达到了"精湛"的效果`。

运用象征意义极强的特写镜头来转场也是该片不可忽视的一大亮点，蒙太奇的充分利用加上拍摄目的性强的特点使得整个影片在叙述上的时间大大缩短，最终使得"精"字得以完美展现出来。
