Argentine writer-director Maria Victoria Menis (Arregui, la noticia del dia) brings us a new kind of male protagonist in the form of Felix, an orphaned teenager who develops a protective bond with an infant when he takes a job on a farm run by the baby’s parents. Felix, played by newcomer Leonardo Ramirez, witnesses the dissolution of the young couple as they implode due to personal problems. The idyllic Argentine countryside stands in stark contrast to the confining emotional interiors in this award-winning film.
